2. From a critical perspective, examine the influence of Bourdieu on theindividual’s experience of organisational change.

Bourdieu’s definition of habitus differs from other theorists; the habitus may guide, shape, and constrain our thoughts and actions but it doesn’t determine our thoughts and actions. I’m in favour of this view, because it positions us as thoughtful, emotional, free-willed beings instead of as pre-programmed automatons

3. Analyse how relational agency influences how power plays out in the change process, and consider the ethical considerations that change agents need to be mindful of in their chosen approaches.

4. Draw conclusions that summarise your work and address the essay question.

You must follow an essay structure that is at a minimum an introduction; a main body that outlines the argument, analyses the material you have researched and assesses this according to the guidelines above, and a conclusion. A minimum
