This proposal will help in the development of social work plan to be implemented for the enhancement of health literacy in the Aboriginal population regarding COVID-19.

Aims and Objectives

This social action plan will be driven by the primary aim: Improvement of health literacy in the Aboriginal population

This aim will be fulfilled by the accomplishment of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely) objectives that are:

  • Assessment of the existing health literacy of the Aboriginal population in the area
  • Development of health literacy campaign for the target population
  • Assess the efficacy of the campaign

Campaign Plan

  1. Assessment of the existing health literacy of the Aboriginal population in the area in week 1 (DATE OF COURSE)

The existing health literacy will be assessed by conducting a survey with the target population in the first week. This will help in the identification of the primary limitations and help in the development of a specific campaign for action (Bryman, 2016).

  1. Development of health literacy campaign for the target population in week 2 and 3 (DATE OF COURSE): The campaign will be applied through conducting seminars, workshops, and visual representations (Blaikie & Priest, 2019)
  1. Assess the efficacy of campaign and social action by getting feedback in the final week (DATE OF COURSE): Feedback will be taken from participants to assess the efficacy of this plan (Bryman, 2016)
