Task Description : Victims  of abuse are regularly treated by healthcare services. The Australian Nursing  & Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has a number of policies relating to vulnerable members of the community.

Nurses and midwives play an important role   in the prevention, identifrcation, and intervention in the case of child    abuse and neglect and in the ongoing care, education and support  of the children and their families. https://anmf.org.au/documents/policies/PS_Child_abuse_and_neglect.pdf

Choose one.two or all three of the above statements and discuss the above statements, explaining the legal and professional reporting that occurs when a health care worker comes into contact with a person who has disclosed that they have been harmed.        Examples include: elderly people who have been maltreated,children who have been sexually and/or physically assaulted and women who live with intimate partner violence (domestic violence).

Include In your answer the relevant codes, legislation and documentation governing the requirement to report such issues. Consider what are the implications for the  registered nurse and the delivery of nursing care.
