How the assessment fits into the subject/course:
The focus on reflexive research methodologies and strategies is a core element of the MBA. This
assessment provides students with opportunities to reflect on each other’s practice and coach one
another to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Assessment Linkages of Part 1 and 2:
Strategies used in Part 1 will suggest themes that will be developed further in the reflexive journal of
Part 2.

Part 1
Students will work in pairs for this first part of the assessment; pairings will be assigned by the
Learning Facilitator. Working in pairs students will coach each other in leadership skills and
influences and will provide each other effective feedback for learning and development. In providing
feedback students should consider cultural understanding and social practices; other parameters will
be pre‐defined by the Learning Facilitator. Each student will provide a peer with information on the
organisation, role description, key organisational stakeholders, etc. in order to frame the peer
coaching and feedback exercise.
Output/Deliverable and parameters of the assessment
Students will submit a feedback report consisting of 2000 words.

An electronic library and ready guide is provided to all students including a range of etextbooks
and journals available through online journal databases including EBSCO
