You are required to analyze the case in parts that divided into 3 sections, as shown in the following areas and follow strictly to the submission date given below.
Section 1: Identification
- Strategic Profile and Case Analysis Purpose: Overview of the company’s situation, its strategy and the significant problems and issues that confront management. (Unless it is necessary to do so for emphasis, avoid recounting facts and history about the company)
Section 2: Analysis and Evaluation
- Situation Analysis – External: Identify key competitors and analyze their strategies, core competencies, and competitive response.
- Situation Analysis – Internal: Review factors within the company that are critical to the strategy of the firm and classify them as strengths or weaknesses. Use a value chain analysis to determine which parts of the company’s operations add value, and which do not.
- SWOT Analysis: Compare strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for the company, and show how they are related. What actions should the company take to maximize the strengths and opportunities, while minimizing the weaknesses and the threats?
(Use the tools and concepts you have learned about to perform whatever analysis and evaluation is appropriate.)
Section 3: Recommendations
- Strategy Formulation: Identify strategies that will help the company to develop a competitive advantage in the future. Explain the reason for your decision using facts from the case, outside research, and theoretical information.
- Strategic Alternative Implementation: Alternatives and recommendations that must be taken to put the strategy into practice, including structural, leadership, control, incentive, and other changes should flow from Section 2 (i.e. tools and concepts of analysis)
(Consist of a set of definite recommendations and a plan of action; your set of recommendations should address all of the problems/issues you identified and analyzed.)
