Using the knowledge gained during your study of Units 1 to 8 prepare an answer to the following question:
How will a new technology influence the equilibrium in a product market? If that influence is felt across many firms then what are the implications for the national economy?
In your answer you should provide an introduction to the key issues, defining the terms of the question. Then using a concise approach set out your answer to each part in turn before formally concluding at the end.
Your answer needs to:
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics so it is necessary to keep
- make use of relevant examples
- make use of the financial press. (e.g. the 3D printing revolution Harvard Business
- Review piece discussed in Unit 4, or the many Financial Times examples)
- show an ability to evaluate concepts and their appropriateness to applications.
Your answer must be no more than 2,000 words, so you should make sure that you are concise in what you write.

Economist follow on the next page. You are also reminded of the discussion forums on the course Blackboard site on which you can ask questions and gain support from your peers.
How to access the online version of the Financial Times through the library catalogue
From the external University of Bradford homepage, click on the Current Students and Staff link
Under Quick Links, click on one of two options:
- EResources Link
- Click on the Catalogue Home link
- At the drop down box on the left where Keyword(s) is the default, click on it and select Journal Titles
- Type Financial Times in the search box
- Click on the Submit button
- Click on the Financial Times link
- Click on the Proquest
- You can search within the publication or browse through the year links
- Library link
- Select the Journals option at Quick Search on the library homepage
- Type Financial Times in the search box
- Click on the Submit button

If you are off-campus you click on the link to Proquest (this is an electronic journal database) then you will be asked to input your University of Bradford username and password (the one you use to access Blackboard or E-vision)

How to access the online version of the Economist through the library catalogue
