To clearly articulate your understanding of Ron Heifetz’s probable approach to addressing the CEO’s problem.

You are the CEO of an American engineering organization with 5,000 employees.  Your VP’s of Human Resources and Finance have pointed out the adverse cost impact due to obesity in your employee population.  Twenty percent of your employees are obese, and their poor health is negatively affecting company productivity and costs of health care.

You have now read an article by Heifetz, seen a PowerPoint about his concepts and watched the video above and that of Marty Linsky. How do you imagine Heifetz would analyze the organization’s obesity problem and what practical, actionable advice would he give you, the leader, for attacking the adaptive part of this problem?  Explain his reasoning and try to use his descriptive phraseology (i.e., specialized language/vocabulary).
