To develop a highly knowledgeable practitioner, who demonstrates an understanding of pharmacology and advanced practice in the management of medicine optimisation. To develop a critical understanding of medication optimisation working with individuals and the multidisciplinary team.

NRS704 Learning Outcomes Level 7

At the end of the module the learner will be expected to be able to:

  • Provide an in depth critical analysis of the principles of pharmacology including pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
  • Apply advanced knowledge of pharmacology to medicines encountered in practice.
  • Recognise complex responses to administered medications including therapeutic and adverse effects.
